Meet Dr. Tori Popp: Nesin Pelvic Health
Tell us a little about yourself?
Hi! My name is Dr. Tori Popp, a physical therapist who specializes in all things womens health at Nesin Pelvic in downtown Huntsville. I am a Wisconsin native who just recently moved to Alabama (still a little nervous about how hot it is going to be this summer!) I am a Packer fan, love all sorts of outside activities, reading books, and listening to true crime podcasts.
Early on in my career I started in orthopedics and quickly realized that my female athletes, whether it was a high school athlete or a mom who wanted to return to fitness, were underserved when it came to their rehab and specific womens health needs. I soon after took course after course to learn more, eventually specializing in pelvic floor therapy and postpartum corrective exercise. I love being able to use both my orthopedic and pelvic health brain to treat patients.
Tell us a little about your practice / what it specializes in?
Nesin Pelvic is located in downtown huntsville and specializes in womens health. This can include pain during pregnancy or postpartum, incontinence, pain with sex, diastasis recti, pelvic floor and core strengthening, and safe return to fitness.
What is your WHY?
I LOVE working with women of all ages and walks of life to help them meet their personal goals. This could be as simple as pain free movement or as complex as wanting to be prepared for a marathon. I enjoy being able to use both my orthopedic and pelvic health brain to help women prepare for whatever life brings.
You have 4 hours of babysitting what would you do with your time?
We don't have any babies yet but do have 13 nieces and nephews! Knowing myself I would want to use this time for a fancy coffee, a nap, and maybe reading a book on the patio.
Your fav spot to hangout in the Rocket City?
Being relatively new to the area we are trying to explore everything! Send all recommendations my way :-) So far we have really enjoyed hiking at Bethel Springs to see the waterfall and then grabbing a drink at The Open Bottle in Madison.
What's the best way for people to reach out to you?
You can give us a call at 256-513-8442 or check out our website or Instagram (@nesinpelvichealth) to learn more about us. Once you are ready to be seen, have your doctor send us a referral! We would love to see you!
